We have had some great lesson so far. We had a jumping lesson last week and a hack today. It went really well i was on Bob a 4 year old cob and nikki on oscar another lovely cob. When sophie said that i was on a different horse called Bob my nerves set in slightly. I soon calmed down untill she said he was only 4 i was like huh 4. All the horses were very well behaved all 3 had a spook at one thing or another. we even walked over a log we didn't jump it as it wasn't big enough but thats something i never thought i would do. Bob was so well behaved for a 4 year old he doesn't look that young and doesn't act it either. Me and Bob at the start Nikki on oscar Me & Bob and sophie & domino Nikki setting off on oscar all of us grinning after a nice trot through the woods Me and nikki in the woods Us all heading home alixx

What lovely looking horses they all are. You must be very proud of yourself Ali [if your not you should be] riding a young horse like that is quite a challenge. I so glad he was well behaved for you though. When is your next leasson?

Bob and Oscar look like Shire crosses - lovely and honest.
Me and my friend Lynda have recently started to have lessons again after quite a few years break. We are riding Haflingers and they are helping loads with our confidence too!
Glad you are enjoying yourselves.

Wonderful pics!!! Nothing boosts your confidence so much as riding a huge variety of horses and ponies. And you must be doing very well in your lessons for your instructor to pair you with so young a horse. I think you've come on leaps and bounds as a rider Ali Isn't that a strange sensation as they walk across a large log? I haven't done that in ages, but I can still remember how it felt.

Ahhh, they look lovely, it used to amaze me how well behaved and young some horses were when I used to ride at a school, glad your both getting on with your riding.
