Sue and her new OH Steve have been staying for most of the week, and we've had a lovely time (as usual!). Despite the inclement weather we managed to get in some rides (Saturn and Dancer must be wondering what's going on, as they had already been out twice when Anna was here over Easter!). Sue and her favourite pony  Getting the muddy beasts ready!   Posing in the arena  Lovely ride at a local beauty spot   We were attempting some synchronised cantering but it didn't work out too well ;D (trying to stay in the saddle while Dancer is cantering is like riding a pneumatic drill!)  |

Sounds like a you had a wonderful time - and what lovely pics! What did Sue's OH do while you were riding ......perhaps he could have tagged along on Toby LOL!!

Thanks for a wonderful week, Gill and Dave. We really enjoyed it and I think Steve fell in love with the animals and the lifestyle....and who can blame him.

Hmmm....sounds as though Steve may have passed the first stage of vetting then ;D Any bloke that can toddle around in that kind of weather, enjoying the walk and the animals is a  What fantastic pics  Your laughter and smiles say it all. LOL, looks like Saturn's falling asleep while Sue's grooming him. Happy pony ;D |

Wonderful pics! I'm so glad you all had such a good time despite the weather. What beautiful views on your ride. I love that pic with Steve, Sue and Saturn admiring the view - very atmospheric.
Gill - I can't believe how good your fields are looking! We are still knee deep in liquid mud, worse than ever after the snow melted.
