Saturn and I explored a few bridleways I haven't yet been on, at Nesscliffe Country Park. He was such a good boy on his own, although our ride was rather slow (think I'd have had a faster hack riding a sloth!! : . We even encountered some horsey steps, which Saturn didn't know what to make of at the beginning - I urged him forwards and he slapped one hoof onto the first step, did a little worried poo then made his way to the top lol ;D What a good little boy he was The start of our ride Something called Kynaston's Cave but you needed to walk to see it I think Admiring the view Saturn has heart failure at the thought of the gallops

Pics!! And the best view in all the world What a beautiful place to ride. Awwhh, I think Saturn's being a very brave boy going it all alone like that. Maybe a bit of Guinness would help his courage ;D No, nix that...you'd be travelling even slower afterwards. Is the gate in the middle of nowhere to keep out vehicles?

Is the gate in the middle of nowhere to keep out vehicles? Probably Debbie as it wouldn't keep much else out!

Lovely pics, it looks a bit like the riding we have apart from you have no litter/druggies/idiot walkers/motorbikes LOL! It would be so nice to hack out without all the above.

Saturn is doing really well considering he's a bit timid! Are the gallops public too......

No we can't use them , the bridlepath just crosses them. Saturn would never make it to the top LOL! Dancer on the other hand ....... Despite Saturn being a huge wuss he is very good to take out on his own, ironically! It just takes a long time .....

Lovely pics! I'm envious of your hacking - is that all from your doorstep or do you go out with the lorry? LOl at Saturn's speed - Harvey is equally slow when we're hacking on our own! I sometimes get so fed up I feel like ringing Andy and telling him to come and pick us up with the trailer. Mind you, that is probably Harvey's plan........ LOL Bev! We get the idiot walkers, the endless fly tipping and the odd burnt out car.

It's about a 15 min drive with the lorry Pam - most of the hacking from my place is narrow country lanes, with the odd set aside. My favourite set aside field (the big galloping hill) has now been ploughed up so Nesscliffe is the closest nice hack where you can do an hour or two with lovely views. We are lucky really in that I am only about an hours' drive away from superb hacking such as the Long Mynd and Stiperstones, it doesn't bother me taking them out on their own in the lorry. Saturn and Harvey would make a right pair LOL - wonder who would take the lead ... ;D. It's never a problem to stop and take pics with Sat as his favourite pace is standing still
