We all had a great day, the weather was glorious, we are so lucky with this ride. the weather is always on our side. Merls was full of it lol  but really listened to me when other horses wanted to come past us, it was such a busy ride this year I have never seen so many lorries and trailers. I popped Merls over a few logs and can he jump I think I need some jumping lessons as I just managed to hang on. Will try and post some pics later. |

That sounds a nice ride, Van. Good to hear Merls was a good boy. It can be quite exciting with lots of horses on a ride - Oliver thinks its a race and he should be at the front at events like this!!!

Sounds great Van, Harley can be a bit bossy about horses passing too, but does his best to listen!!
What have you got planned for this year?
We are aiming for silver thistle (not sure what that is in English/Welsh endurance, but it is 2 40 milers and a 50 miler in Scotland) but it depends on so many things being right at the time!
I also want to get up to 1000 cummulative km.
