Goodness me, she was lucky though must still be very sore and gutted about her dressage. But at least her injuries will heal in time and the horse wasn't hurt.
We have some very steep slopes too - I tend to give the whole of the reins, lean back and hold on to the saddle!! Apollo goes down with his head up to balance, Harley bashes on with his head down to see where he's going!!

Alice is out of hospital, complete with a wheelchair. She has got to wait to see if the leg heals, but if it hasn't after a couple of weeks, then she will have to have an op to put a plate it. Rick saw her Mum exercising the mare, and she said it has left Alice feeling very down. Only to be expected I suppose. Apparantly she knocked herself out when she fell, so she is lucky in a way that she got away with just the broken leg.

She's extremely lucky, even if she doesn't feel it right now. Its only to be expected that she feel depressed just now, but with any luck, she'll heal quickly and be able to take part in some of the later summer competitions.

Alice is bound to feel very down at the moment, its only natural. She has youth on her side for healing and you are right, she has been lucky if she knocked herself out too.
