I might be horrid, but Sparky has had his rug of for the 3rd day running, during the day. Yesterday he wasn't to happy to begin with, but boy hasn't he saved me some grooming with all the rolling he has done and by the end of the day he seems so happy for having some sun on his back. There is grey patches all over the field. Looking at the weather forecast, it looks like the heavy weight rug will be back out by the end of the week.

We had a warm spell here, and the ponies are all starting to lose their coats and rubbing on posts and fences, but as we can have snow until May (well, it snowed at a June cricket match one year!) its still early to take the rugs off full stop. Took the coloured oldies off yesterday just for the daytime, and she had a right good itch on the electric pylon, there is white hair everywhere now, but the crows take it for their nests!
I hate it when I take the rugs off, then they roll and cover themselves in thick mud and I have to put the rugs back on when it comes night as it goes chilly, and have to remove the mud first!

Same here. Mine have had their rugs off for 2 days now and I'm hoping I won't have to put them back on this weekend. Winnie is particularly pleased to be rugless! The crows usually come for the hair here too and even pick it straight off Winnie's back but I haven't seen any doing this yet.

We did the same yesterday, but only because the winds had shifted and we had a storm out of the South. Blossom spent a very cold night as the winds swung about out of the north, and she didn't have her blankie on. She's back to being bundled this morning

Mine are all off too. Harley's MIGHT go back on given that he's clipped, but Jenny's is off for the summer (unless things go really horrid) and Apollo we'll play by ear.
Jenny was delighted to get rid of hers and scratched and scratched and rolled and rubbed.
