We have had good day, took William to the NPS Spring Show at Oatridge SNEC which is not far from us
Arrived at about 9:00 expecting to be able to park in the main car park but ended down at the halls of residence Its a pain being down there as its not so easy to keep an eye on the rings for your classes as its so far away. I did not think the carpark would be that full so early.
I don't have any pics but first Laura and William went into there Picton Novice ridden class. He went quite well with some slight bend issues which are being worked on he got 6th in that class. After a bit of a wait Mum then took him into his In-Hand class, it was a big class so not really expecting to be that high, but we were 2nd to Richard Telford and Kilmannan Black Pearl. We were not going to bother doing the Championship as Laura had the other novice ridden class due in next. We had tacked him back up and Laura had been working him in a bit when the championship was called in, the steward asked if we were not coming into the championship as the ridden class had not went in yet so I quickly got Laura off and off with the saddle and mum took him in the championship. We got Overall Reserve Champion In-Hand M+M to Richard and Pearl who stood champion ;D, so really pleased with him and we have qualified for Blair In-Hand. We had to quickly excuse our selfs from that ring as his other novice ridden class were in so it was a case of quickly throwing back on his saddle and Laura went into the second novice ridden class. He went much better in this second ridden class of the day and this time he was 3rd. So a really good day and very pleased with how he went and with an unexpected qualification for Blair
