We are running this class at our show - open to all dales!!NATIONAL PONY SOCIETY/TopSpec DRESSAGE TRIAL
A new competition to encourage both performance and education of British bred ponies and their riders is to be held covering the whole of England. Qualifiers will run from April and culminate a in the NPS/TopSpec Southern Counties Dressage Trial Gala to be held at the prestigious show venue Addington Manor Equestrian Centre, Addington, Buckinghamshire during April, 2009(date to be finalised). Stabling will be available.
The competition will run under British Dressage Rules using British Dressage Tests 7 & 27 throughout. Each test will have qualifiers available for each of the four sections mentioned below, all of which will have their own Final. Sections are open to:-
1. Registered Mountain & Moorland breeds not exceeding 138cm 2. Registered Mountain & Moorland breeds exceeding 138cm 3. Registered British Riding Ponies 4. Part Bred Horses/Ponies registered with their appropriate Native Breed Part Bred Stud Book
*Please note: Part Bred ponies overstamped within the British Riding Pony Stud Book may only compete in one section per season.
Qualifying rounds will be open to everyone from across the UK. All qualifiers will receive Sponsors rosettes and cards. Horse/ponies must be ridden at the Final by the qualifying rider. Those qualifying for the Final must be fully paid up Members of the NPS for 2009 in order to compete at the TopSpec Gala Final. (you do not need to be a member of the NPS to compete and qualify but you ust become a member to compete in the finals)

Excellent! I've not heard anything about this competition before. I hope there are some qualifiers in our region too.
