I seem to have a problem with keeping Mags rope halter in place. We do fine for ages and then it starts to make its way up her nose and sits in the wrong place. I put it back and then it works its way into the wrong place again.
I like the rope halters, and as long as she doesn't get strong i will keep her in it, seems a shame to put a bit into her month so early.
How do you all keep your rope halters in place???

I know the feeling. I never had a problem with Molly, but Folly is a lot livelier and a couple of times in the ring her rope halter has done like yours -got into the wrong place. Rick now knows to keep a close eye on it, as to how to stop it, I don't really know the answer.

I find that the webbing ones with rings sit better (although I personally don't like the look of them quite so much ).
My rope halters invariably move round or fall across the right eye, so I would be interested to know the answer to this one too!

Just realised that Mollys was a webbing one, with rings, so thats probably why I found no problems with it LOL!! The one Folly has has one ring, and cost me an absolute fortune because I wanted one which would not look too heavy on her dainty head ....which is no longer as dainty but never mind!

AAAWWW, thanks Southerner, that sounds a good idea and i have some white plaiting bands around. Mine is the brass ring halter (if that makes sense), but i am sure i can still make it work by putting the band the other side.
