My friend had her 8 year old 16.1hh dark bay gelding stolen from a field last night in Stretton near Warrington in Cheshire. He was stolen along with another 16.1hh bay mare with white blaze.
Both horses were recovering from injury and are still lame but were being turned out for a year. The mare is also arthritic.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE look out for them and any signs of them. Or, if you know of any sales coming up, please let me know.
The thieves may just bute them up and sell them at market, as they are both beautiful event horses. Worse still, they may end up going for slaughter.

yes, I saw a sign there saying get your passports here .....surely thats not right? If you turn up at a sale trying to sell a horse, the auctioneer should start asking questions and get the police if you have no passport.
