I took Bobbie to the Royal, to have a go at the Ridden M&M class. With 48 entered it was an extremely strong class! Thankfully they split the Highlands off for the go round so it wasn't carnage! Bobbie was really good and did a fab go-round, was really really pleased with him. I also felt much more relaxed, think I'm getting the hang of these big classes!! The judges asked us to extend down the side (like they do in horse classes) and Bob absolutely loved it and really went for it Had to wait for absolutely ages (in the rain) and by the time we did our show he had switched off a bit; his show was alright and he did a nice trot up, but not placed. However it was the first HOYS class I'd done with him, first time at the Royal, and first time riding with that many ponies in the class!! So overall really chuffed with him, I feel like he's improving each time which is the main thing! Got totally drenched though! Pics: Gallop!!! Pro pic: (Note new jacket, totally drenched ) Good old Bob

Well done Laura and Bobbie!!! You both look great. He does enjoy his extended canter, doesn't he! What a lovely momento that pro pic is - you will have to get it framed. I know what you mean about themswitching off after all the hanging around. That's what has put me off Showing - I'll stick with dressage.

Wow - you both look brilliant!
He must have been so patient waiting in such a big class, bless him.
Shame about the weather - and your poor jacket.....has it shrunk? I got caught in heavy rain at a driving show, and my jacket was never the same again after that.

Well done, what fab galloping photos, with a big smile. I didn't see the class as i was showing in hand, or should i say waiting to show in hand getting very, very wet. He is a very handsome chap.

So overall really chuffed with him, I feel like he's improving each time which is the main thing! I couldn't agree more!!! So long as you feel like you are both improving in your teamwork everytime, that's the most important bit. I liked the professional pic because it captures your smile, but I loved the pic just before it with the full tilt gallop ~ that was brilliant and really shows just how much he can full out GOOOOO!!! BRAVO for getting out there and trying!!!

I love that professional photo Laura! He looks like he is enjoying himself. Hope your new jacket has recovered from it's soft water wash! Glad you are feeling more relaxed and confident now.
