I was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions for saddles I should look out for. I'm probably not looking to get one for another 2-3 months as I'll be out of action for a bit with my shoulder, but I'd like to get an idea for when I do start looking seriously. Jay currently has an old Stubben Siegfied GP, which fits him well but isn't so great for me. My knees go several inches over the front when I pull my stirrups up a couple of holes for jumping, as most of the length in my leg seems to be from hip to knee. As a result I get very limited support. It also isn't the most comfortable of saddles after a long ride! Ideally I'd like to get something for jumping in that will be ablt to give me more support, but I'm concerned that more forward cut saddles will impede his shoulder movement. Jay takes a 17 1/2" saddle in a medium to medium/wide fitting. I bought a 2nd hand wintec 2000 gp off ebay which we tried tonight and unfortunately my knees were over the front even with a fairly long stirrup length Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks Ren

I had an albion selecta for Mickey with WH knee rolls- Im about 5'6 so not overly tall but my legs werent as far forward as they are in Yeti's whitaker jumping saddle. Ive had a few saddles on Mickey and its the one where I felt like my legs were under me rather than over the saddle if that makes sense. As it had WH rolls on it was fine with his shoulders but Id say Id have got away with changing to GP / jumping knee rolls on it without any problems due to its shape.

Thanks for the advice. I'll have a look into the albion selecta. I tried a k2 GP a couple of years ago, fitted him really well and I loved, but unfortunately I couldn't afford it new at the time. I've since looked at them 2nd hand, but they don't seem to come up very often
