As I've not had a weanling before I'd like to try and gather as much info as possible now so that I start to feel a little more prepared for his arrival!
So what do different people feed their youngsters? Is there anything I should avoid, and why? Jay's currently on simple systems feed and I have emailed them to see what they would recommend, but i'd like to get as much info together as possible before I decide what route to take
Thanks for your help Ren

I was told not to overfeed. My friend swears by simple systems and fed her youngster on it. I feed hay and A&P Fibre in the winter with a bit of carrot/apple/pear and grass and a forage balancer whilst the grass is good. Things I found that were not a good idea - anything with cereal in it and parsnips - they had the blue smartie effect! NB It varies from pony to pony. Like with any changeover try to make it gradual if possible. I also find that Musky drinks more than James and likes to paddle in the waterbowls! I also needed another level of fitness
