working hunter ?

hi silly but important question

i'm going to do working hunter with my loverly m&m

people down my yard said i should use a martingale and flash as a accessory but pony really does not need to use it

do i have to? or can i get away with not ?

If you don't need it for the jumping phase then definitely don't use it. You might even find it would give you an extra point or two for not using them. To be fair even if you use a martingale, and need it for jumping, you shouldn't use it for the showing part. Working Hunter looks nicer in a flat nose band without a flash.
