When using the WH tack i have a Balding girth (never EVER have i had a problem), with the dressage saddle i have a Wintec chaffless - recently i believe this has caused Girth Galls (see HELP! thread in vet section). The Wintec is by far ALOT wider than the balding so my mentality tells me "get a dressage girth like the balding" but - Do such things exists

Yes, they do exist. I used to have a lovely, soft, padded one for Quest who was very sensitive. Don't remember the make though.

I can't really make out the swelling on my little computer screen but I wonder if it is the material of the girth rather than the width causing the problem? What about those Stubben string girths - do they come in dressage version?

I wonder if it is the material of the girth rather than the width causing the problem? I have wondered that too as she DOES sweat so much in the Wintec. Ive been searching for a string one on the net the last couple of days; not found one yet (in dressage length anyway).

I use a stuben string girth and find they are brilliant for sensitive skinned horses.

Found it again (white rose equestrian) My only query is - there's NO . . . backing? Buckles will sit right next to skin, is that right or do you have to use like a Mattes cover

I generally use mine without and it isn't a problem, but I also have a prolite cover just in case.
