Spoke too soon! Bright yellow liquid scouring so vet coming by again this afternoon!
They are out in the field now and after charging round he's now flat out much to Amy's delight as she can eat in peace! I didn't put the electric on but think he'll be through that soon so may have to!

Vet happy with him, heart good, not dehydrated so have some kaolin stuff to give him for two days which should clear up the scouring. Bright yellow was fine! LOL! They can stop out thankfully, though had jet washed and disinfected a stable this morning incase they had to come back in. Fortunately he was flat out so made life easy to check him! Amy was wickering to him all the time the vet was handling him! She is a great mum!

He is definately not a full ticket!
He's had a go at walking through my (not on) electric fence with Amy in hot pursuit!
I've now wired up the fence to the mains but he's having a nap so will put it on when he's woken up so I can keep an eye on him shoking himself and make sure he runs the right way. I think he was trying to scratch his head on it!
I haven't got any where with no tape unfortunately except a 4 acre hay field which is taller than him!
Any good advice on foals and electric tape intros??!

Awww Iv just been dying to see pics, he is gorgeous Lucy. Thank god the yellow poo is ok lol, I suppose its just like babies poo....... I was horrified to see poo that looked like seeded mustard when I had Jacob haha.
Iv no idea on the electric fence but I would be terrified about putting it on!

Lucy, bith Darcy and Tom have coped with having the fence on! Had to put it on very quickly for Darcy as he was determined to climb through tob the other mares! They seem to learn pretty quick, but would try and leave it until he is a few days old as I am sure that Gina mentioned that their eyesight is not brilliant for a while???

Alice went under our electric fence three times in the first week and went back to doris taking the lot with her (approx 30 metre stretch!) we added a lower strand and turned the electric on - sounds bad but it did not take her long to figure it out.
