Well just before the weekend, i knew i was away showing all weekend and with the weather like it has been i got to the point i might need some smart long boots for showing in hand, in case the ring was to muddy. So i after many months of uuummming and aarrrring i decided to buy some Dublin River boots. Well they are fab, they never made it into the ring as it wasn't bad at all, but for the rest of the weekend i had them on and they are fab. Also I have wide legs and they fit,

Yes I have [had ] 2 pairs of these!! one black and one brown!! They are just so comfortable. Unfortunately last weekend I had to say goodbye to the black pair....over the last few weeks I have had a problem getting the right one off once I have got home!! Anyhow last weekendI the lining seemed to have got all tangled and wrapped around my foot and despite my best efforts the only way I was able to remove the boot was to take drastic action and cut it off!! That said it hasn't put me off buying anymore as they have been brilliant to ride in and really are waterproof!

Would they withstand a lot of mud and wet and repeated hosing off do you think?
I really want a pair of winter boots that aren't dubarry price that will take a beating off mud, but then hose off and be fine to ride in plus keep my feet warm and dry!! I quite like the look of Dublin Toscana's i think they are called but put off by the zip as it seems a place for leakage?

I think they would Anne, I have been wading through ankle deep mud for the last month and they seem fine, I love mine, I treated myself to a pair of Dubarry boots about six years ago and they were brilliant, but these are a fraction of the cost and seem just as good.
