if its the copra meal then i love it.dont feed it though as hard to get hold of.i used to use it in australia about 6 years ago as its very common feed over there.its fab for putting on weight.we used to soak it well and mix into chaff.lovely small too.
id feed it in winter for condition if my local shop sold it.cant recommend it enough.

Bimey 47!!!!! That's amazing! Never heard of Coolstance either but it looks good from reading your links. Let me know how he is doing on it please - could be useful for Quest and Winnie.

He really seems to like it. I've never known him persevere with his feed so well and lick the bucket clean. Mind you, he now has 3 ginger biscuits broken into his feed as well as his owner was told by someone that fussy horses or those that have gone off their feed will always eat ginger biscuits! He also has rosehips, apples and carrots cut up into it. Not spoilt or anything! LOL!

LOL! He deserves to be spoilt if he's got to 47! That's amazing - must be approaching a record?

What a grand ole age for the boy He certainly deserves any and all comforts at his age I find it interesting that they use coconut oil as a basis for this food, as it ended up being my oil of choice to put weight back on Galahad this summer. We've ended up with 'just enough, but not too much' weight, and he adores the flavor! I'd read somewhere that the coconut oil doesn't cause the same inflammatory response that corn oil can sometimes cause. I can't remember where I read it, but decided to go for the coconut oil. As the Amish use it around us for cooking, its reasonably cheap enough too.

I'd never heard of CoolStance until today when my trimmer came to do the horses feet. Axel's not been very well recently and has lost a fair bit of condition. Debbie kindly recommended coconut oil for helping to regain condition, and I happened to tell the trimmer I was going to get him some. She said that she's been feeding CoolStance to one of hers for a while now and couldn't recommend it enough.
