Thank you SO MUCH for the warning, and the head's up!!! I've been through a couple robberies in my lifetime ~ and they're wretched! You suddenly feel the need to deep clean everything, even the ceilings! Fingers crossed the cops find out who's behind all this and you can get some of your belongings back. And again, thank you so very much for the warning for those who live in this area

Thank you for all your messages - it isn't very nice but the police have been great (it helps to give them cups of tea when they are passing by on a Saturday afternoon). They have just come and taken a DNA sample from me as I found one of my gardening gloves (which had been beside the garden gate) down the road with the fingers folded back inside the palm as though it had been taken off hurriedly. They said they wouldnt take my sample unless they were sure to get one from the glove! The bank card was used to withdraw a substantial amount of money (£2K +) out of a post office in a less than desirable part Bristol - this is being looked into as to how they managed to do that when the card is only used for Tescos once every two weeks without the bank querying it or the post office! The thieves took a brown pottery jug, lap top, watches and partners wallet (PLEASE all make sure you do not have your pin number anywhere it can be found - you'd be suprised how many people do!!) The police have advised us (off the record) that an alarm is not much good if you live over 8 mins away from the station CCTV is a better option (ensuring of course you hide the monitor!)

What a horrible thing to happen to you. I really hope the glove gives them some clues and they catch the culprit/s!
