I'm thinking (again) of putting Pearl in foal next season and my 1st choice would be Delias stallion, however there are one or two things I need to take into consideration...
1/ I haven't actually in so many words told Delia of this... 2/ There is a chance that her stallion would be too closely related 3/ Her stallion may be err 'too busy' for my mare.
I would I find out what other dales stallions are available. They don't seem to be widely advertised and I haven't got access to 100s of stud books(unless they are on line somewhere)

Give Delia a call, she will be able to tell you if Lad's closely related, Shame Kilroys on loan up in Durham he would of been perfect, Lad wouldn't be "too busy" for pearl, he wouldnt be very happy with us if we turned her away, If not related you should book her in, give lad a different "wife"!!

Mrsp, Heathers's Lad isn't related to Pearl, this might be the last season Akehurst Heather's Lad will be in East Sussex, we are only covering 4 of our mares this year so him and Lowhouses Jet will only be having 2 mares each! So Lad and Jet have spaces in their diarys for limited visiting mares Akehurst Heathers Lad
