Thought some of you might be interested in some pics of the Mors Lotte. I've taken the shots next to my mullen mouth pelham so you have something to compare it to. (Mors Lotte is the gold one) The jury is still out on it here - I've only ridden in it once and Tilly got her tongue over it three times  I didn't ride long enough in it to tell if it was "oooh new bit lets play with it lots" and consequently getting her tongue over, or if it was "Get this ******* thing out of my mouth NOW" getting her tongue over. She really didn't seem hugely unhappy in it, with other bits she's been unhappy about she would chuck her head around and refuse to move. So I've got a lesson on Monday that I'm going to have T in the mors lotte for, and I'll probably hack her out on Sunday in it - although with her getting her tongue over I'm not sure I want to risk it!!! It's a pain when they get the tongue over isn't it? I have to stop, dismount, sort it out and get back on...LOL
When it happened several times in one lesson my instructor just took the cheek piece up a hole so that the bit was higher in Bea's mouth and that seemed to help. I don't think Bea was uncomfortable, he just likes to play with the bit.

D is a so and so for getting his tongue over his bit - no matter what type it is! Its not discomfort etc for him - its more of a 'lets be an imp' challenge!!!
I use a flash to stop it as I cant cope with dismounting and retacking up all the time! He has the straight bars down to a fine art now!
I even use the flash with the pelham - just on loosly, so he still has jaw 'movement' just not enough to cause any bother!!!!!
If I am showing though, I do as Sue does and just pop it up a hole!
