Just wondering what all your opinions are on wearing brushing boots out hunting?? Some people always do and others think the mud and grit that can get between the boot and leg can cause as much damage if not more. I personally always wear front brushing boots, but the other day Sparky managed to knock his fetlock whilst out hunting. So i will be putting boots on the back from now on, whilst doing any more than hacking. What would be best fetlock boots or brushing boots on back for hunting?? Have to admit the same day, the silly thing also managed to put his opposite back hoof in a hole as well He seems to be going OK, just think i am being over protective, will get the farrier to double check him over for me tomorrow, before i go out playing Saturday.

I always booted my horses up before doing any jump work but I would hose boots down after every use so they didn't get grit rubbed into their legs.
I think so long as you dont leave boots on for too long, there shouldn't be a problem.
