Yes, I had a pair fo the aubergine ones and lived in them til they finally fell apart. Think I bought them off Sue? I thought I was ordering another pair of aubergine ones but they turned out to be a very bright pink! Still comfortable though......

I have seen the aubergine ones on sale still at some shows at a reduced price, Peter stunt in Somerset is good and may have some left over, it may be worth a try.

I couldn't live without my Musto Snug Jods and Musto Snug Jacket. I 'm sure the overtrousers will be just as good too.

I just received these and they are fab quality, and really warm - I am not even sure you would need any jods underneath them - you certainly wouldn't need Musto snugs under these. The ad states they are waterproof as well but I haven't yet tried them out yet. They have reflective stripes down the legs and a grippy clarino seat. They've got full length zips either side of the legs - which are quite generous in fit (both width and length); two zipped pockets and stirrups at the bottom. The waist on the M size is fairly snug - I'm a size 12 and measure about 29" round the waist and 37" around the hips (giving away my secrets here! ) but would be happy if the waist was a little looser, although it does stretch a fair bit. I got them on over jeans and they weren't tight on the leg or around the hips at all. I got a 20% Ebay discount voucher so got them for about £40 in total inc. p&p. cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270303843628&_trksid=p2759.l1259

Gill, could you try these out asap please Gill! Joe hasn't actually got me my musto overtrousers yet as I haven't had time to go and try them. These sounds like they might be better?
Is there a manufacturer name on them?

I haven't had the opportunity to ride in them yet Linda, but I was freezing in the house last night and wore them sitting in front of the computer - and had to take them off again as I was sweating LOL!
The manufacturer name on them is Equipage, but I haven't found much on the internet! I did email the seller and ask if they were fully waterproof - her reply was that she is going through her third winter with them and the rain hasn't come through yet. Perhaps in horizontal driving rain it might get through the zips! She said they are definitely waterproof as opposed to showerproof in her experience and most certainly extremely warm.
I'd say if you are looking for warmth, these will not disappoint. If you want I can pm you her reply to me?

Sounds good Gill. Perhaps you could do just two things for me? 1) Post a photo of yourself wearing them - from all angles LOL! 2) Hose yourself down to test if they are waterproof! LOL! LOL! : duckstoevadeheavyobjectthrownbyGill! :

Just received my 1st pair of Musto snug jods. To be honest, I didn't think much of them to look at BUT once I tried them on they felt lovely & toasty. The central heating is broken at work and it's freezing so I'm going to wear them under my trousers tomorrow. LOL

You could always get a pair of Gill's thermal breeches to wear over the top of them too. Everyone at work would see you coming with the white stripes and I bet you'd stay warm!

Get some tenacious tape to mend them Gill! It mends tents, punctures, holes in water bottles and all sorts. Don't see why it wouldn't work on your trousers.

I think I should make everyone aware of the size difference in some of the jods, as I have already said I am a total convert to musto snugs and don,t really ware anything else, over the years I have tried to buy them at events when there are offers on or sometimes been lucky enough to pick up a pair half price, but the difference is sizing is really funny, I have two black pairs that are pretty much the same, although one pair are longer in the leg that the other, my brown pair are definitely the smallest, I have to be having a thin day before waring them lol. my navy pair are quite generous and recently at YHL I picked up a lovely dark green pair and a beige pair for hunting, the beige pair are really generous, the green are about the same as my black, I should add that the length are all different, they are all the same size a large. The point is if you go to try them on its well worth taking two of your size to try as you may be surprised at the difference.
