And he only has a 15 minute attention span!

Skool was cancelled as Claire is poorly, it's torrential rain and Sue and I needed to move the fencing to give them more grass.
What should have been a 20 minute job took over two hours as one of the fence lines was infested with new rabbit burrows to the point of making it unsafe for the ponies so we had to also fence 100m of that off too!
I am sick of blasted rabbits! How can I eradicate them now you can't do horrible things to them anymore?? I don't dislike rabbits (in moderation) but I panic about finding a pony with a broken leg. Any advice gratefully received!

Borrow my cat, Luce. Lena would decimate your rabbit population in a matter of a couple of weeks! Or is THAT against the law as well now?
LOL re pics for the calendar, Helen - I look forward with interest to seeing your contribution! LOL
Great photos - Tim was clearly pleased to meet his in-laws! LOL

I think you need a gun Lucy. Or else get to know someone with one. There are quite a few rabbits at Hillside but a gentleman comes with an air rifle and sorts them out.

I think I need a ****ing TANK!!! I have a man with a gun and one with ferrits but they don't come often enough! On a dry evening I can go out with a lamp and see 20 in the top field alone, the shooting man catches 2 or 3 normally. Sigh!
Suze, I loved the head down pic of Celt that Helen took, it was just something about the colours. I won't sulk if it never appears though, you must have hundreds to go at!! Perhaps they should be on two weeks about??? You could give up the day job and do them weekly...??!!
Tim is very pleased to meet anyone who gives him cuddles, scritches, attention and no smackies! He nipped me just behind my knee joint when my guests were here and I had to laugh and resist beating him within an inch of his life so as to put on a good front!!
Babies, hey, DON'T DO IT!!!!

The pics is noted, Luce. You're right, it IS lovely - it'd cost a fortune to have those mane streaks put into human hair!!

Sorry, to spoil your post Lucy. Your photos are all brilliant, so glad you all enjoyed yourselves. Tim will be glad skool is cancelled then. Rabbits YUK, moles YUK!!! I'm like you, terrified in case a pony breaks a leg. Signature corrected for Anna, 1 glass of wine and I'm anyones Photos and all other info soon on another thread, if I ever dare tempt fate. She's only 5 months and 24 days old and I have been so scared to post anything about her yet and yes she was born here. I promise once I feel it is the right time I will post photos etc about her (probably when she is 10)

Barbara - you simply cannot be allowed to keep a foal secret. I'm sure that's a crime under the Freedom of Information Act Please post details of your baby girl soon or I'll be wasting even more time each day, logging on to see if you've posted yet Lucy - if only I'd known about the bunny problem. I could have brought Inca with me! Pharaoh Hounds are called kelb-al fenek in their native Malta. It means "Rabbit Dog". Problem solved, albeit in a pretty gory fashion ...alternatively you could stop feeding your cats for a week

Oh Babara, please don't keep us waiting long........... Lucy, if you find an answer to the rabbit problem, please let me know! Our neighbour shoots, we have some one flying a falcon and also ferret people but no one can make any impact on the rabbit population here.

.... As long as she doesn't eat my kitties! Celt and Tim are having a good enough go at killing them!! Nooo Celt likes cats. She used to share her stable with our moggy "Agent Silver", in the days when she still liked stables I bet somebody in the pub would know someone with an air-rifle? You could offer rabbit-curry as an incentive!

Soon, I promise, she is so very special because last year we lost her sister. Mum and foal were away from home, foal was found with a broken neck. Now you understand what a hard time we had and why I didn't post for a long time! Just going over to see them now and hand breakfasts out. Not to elephants Tim!
