my " little treasure " ( she says thr gritted teeth) has gone right back to rearing and spinning when being lead, biting, and just generally not being nice !!
ive tried the nicely nicely, now maybe its time for the tough and get on with it routine !!
im wondering if its the mares in neighbouring paddocks, cos several of them are calling to him like mad !? dont know when he was cut but maybe it was later than we thought......

He's probably still testing your authority as the honeymoon's over and wants to see what you'll put up. I'd ditch the nice and re establish boundaries. And best of luck with it, because its not a nice period to go through He's got to learn he cannot behave like this, as its too dangerous. The nice and love can come later ~ and believe me, I've been told that sage advice more than once regarding Blossom. Its hard to be tough with them, but you've got to be at times.

yeah, i did try one.. he seems to like the waterford, but the big problem is actually getting him from his field to where we tie up, tack up groom etc, its quite a distance especially when hes " a man behaving badly " for a poor old girl like me !! am hoping to move him to a different area of the livery fields in a couple of weeks, which means everything will be closer to hand, so that may make a big difference to me.....

I should think a decent saddler could be able to create one that fits you and your pony.
