Today a small group of us went to Tim's place to have a chat about foaling and handling. Jo Ashby gave a little informal, informative and very interesting talk (much interrupted with silly questions from yours truly), with Claire Dale and Jackie Snowdon on hand to share their expertise and experiences too. It was an incredibly helpful day. Sue also brought along a slide show prepared by her vets with lots of graphic pictures! Lucy provided a brilliant lunch in return for a donation to the DPS FIDs fund. My heartfelt thanks to all involved, especially Jo for the talk and Lucy for hosting such a good day. I'm so tired I can't string my words together very well but here is a link to a few photos before I go to bed! www.new.facebook.com/album.php?aid=74654&id=666243498&l=e38df8be19

Thanks for a lovely day, Lucy. And thanks to Jo of course, for a really good talk.
Your ponies are a credit to you, Lucy. They all look so well and happy, and you keep them in a situation most people can only dream of .......
Celt is a sweetheart, such a friendly pony. And Tim, well, you cannot help liking him - he is a little character. He definitely has won Rick over.
Two bottles of wine.......er.....throw in a sponge cake and its a deal. Just one thing - you will have to have one of mine in part ex. I was thinking of Oliver. He would love it at yours!!!

I could probably stretch to a spong cake, but not too sure about Oliver! I was thinking of Molly or Folly so I get a driving pair....... ;D Rick was brilliant with Tim, he extracted him from me when he wasn't on his best behaviour, had a quiet word in his ear and Tim turned into an angel! What did you say to him Rick??!!

Sounds like a good day - Lucy you should video these talks so we can all get to see/hear the pertinent points.
Thanks for posting the photos Linda. All of the ponies look like they are enjoying the attention (or were there treats on offer !)

Totally off topic - Tim, have you sent Jacq the Yak an instruction manual Today he has changed from clueless baby to raging mini stallion. We caught him attempting to impregnate Roo and doing a sterling job of it, apart from being one inch too small on the height chart, thank goodness. We now have a huge dilemma as we don't have any boys that he can run with. Raider and Bran are way too young and Wilf is pre-occupied with the ladies. Think I'll have to send him to Young Offenders with Tim ...and I was feeling so smug that he wasn't precocious
