I made these yesterday as we had a very large chicken for sunday lunch and I,m always trying to think of things to do with the left over meat, normaly I make a curry, but decided to make these instead and they were lovely, all you need to do, is chop up the left over chicken and fry in some oil with an onion and some chopped mushrooms, add some salt and black pepper and a sprinking of dried or fresh sage, just brown everything off and put to one side, then in a seperate pan make a bechamel sauce, season well and add to the chicken mixture stur well and put aside to cool. I cheat and use frozen pastry, I suppose you could make a pie but I decided to make pasties, brush pastry with a beaten egg and pop in a hot oven for about half an hour.......they were scrummy!!!

Yummy - Martin and I are salivating like a pair of Pavlov's dogs! Not good for the figure though, but you only live once.... Putting pastry on the list for the weekly shop!

Oooh, that sounds yummy Van!!! All I have to do is skip on the pie/pastie bit and it fits in well with my diet.
