Quest (Silly Question) 1982-May2009 I first saw his cheeky, cheerful head popping over a stable door 17 years ago. I was visiting my Mum in Somerset and as I was browsing through H&H happened to spot an ad for a chestnut gelding for sale in the next village. He was not at all the sort of horse I expected to go for but something clicked the minute I saw him. The rest was history. Quest was always a very cheerful, enthusiastic soul with a huge love of life. Even through his laminitis episodes he remained happy and positive. He loved company - people, horses, dogs, in fact anything that moved. He was the herd leader but was always fair, never a bully. He was highly strung and excitable but was totally trustworthy with little children and over the years gave a lot of nervous, young children their first experience with horses: He could be a nightmare to hack - he could turn himself inside out with excitement and he never got over his fear of tractors/lorries and it was this that lead us down the dressage route. He went from being so naughty in the ring that judges would stop tests in adjoining rings to beng placed at Affiliated Dressage up to Medium level with me. He loved an audience and assumed everyone was there just to watch him. Quest was part of my life for 17 years and we went through many ups and downs together. Life is very empty without him. RIP Questie, run free

Quest was a very dear horse that clearly touched your life in a special way. He will always hold a part of your heart and no one can ever take that place.
I'm glad I had the chance to meet such a wonderful horse.
RIP beautiful boy.

What a wonderful horse Quest was. He had such a lovely life with you Pam - you treated him with so much love and respect, which, I believe was reciprocated.
Rest in peace Questie.
