There are several different types of sacroid. I did treat Quest's initially with Thuja. It grew after a week's tretment and must have itched because he bit at it and the whole sarcoid popped out. It had a huge root and left no scar at all. Maybe it was the Thuja or maybe just coincidence. He then develloped another one which I left and it never bothered him.
Emma's was removed surgically and it also popped out where as Harvey's was different. It was much smaller and sort of shrivelled up when treated.

Sian had her 2nd Dectomax jab yesterday and whilst the vet was there i quizzed her on sarcoids & treatments; she said that the liverpool cream would only work if the sarcoid had been untreated and that if you'd tried any other method (herb suppliment or cream) you reduce your chances of it working. She also said that as it's "only early days" she'd advise to leave it and see how it goes till Sept but in the meantime if it changes for the worse im to get them out. We spoke at length about Sarc X & Thuja (it actually made me late for work - oops!) and she was of the opinion that IF we tried the insurance/Liverpool cream route AFTER trying something else i'd end up paying out myself as the vets would have to declare to the insurance that I'd treated it with "off the shelf medicine" - This has now left me in quandry, do i just leave it and see what happens or try something and take the risk that should it not work I'd have to pay for the Liverpool cream myself

could you take some pictures?? i used to put multi care on dans sometimes to keep the flies off, i never gave him anything to treat them as such. my vet was aware of dans for about 3 years before we decided it was time to treat them, i would personally leave them be for the time being, im glad i went down the liverpool cream route, as dans are gone with out a trace now. im going the show at bake well maybe we could meet up and have a chat about them? i dont think your to far away from me either so if you ever wanted to come and have a look at my lad, so you can see his sucessful treatment, please do

Jet had some sarcoids years ago, He had one removed as it was right up between his hind legs under his tail, it didn't come back. He had several small flattish ones around his inner stifle. I used camrosa, which did the trick and they've never come back (touch wood!) Another horse I had got one near his sheath. I used camrosa on him but it made him worse, it started to grow faster! As it was round with a distinct neck, I put a lambs tail castrating ring on it and it shrivelled and dropped off in a matter of days and that didn't grow back. Another horse I had years ago had a huge one on his inner stifle. it ended up the size of a tennis ball, he kicked it off in the field, but it grew straight back. I was selling him at the time and the vet examining him told the purchaser it just needed freezing off and would be fine! (doubt they'd say that nowadays!) My friends ex racehorse had loads of scarring and lumps round his inner stifle and legs, he'd had lots of treatment for them, I believe the liverpool cream, there was lots of white hairs. He still has several lumpy bits and one grew large, but was removed with the rubber lamb ring and hasn't to date returned. I think it depends a lot on what sort they are, how successfull or otherwise the treatment is.

UPDATEThe raised red button looking lump this last week has turned into a fairly flat white flaky patch, I started adding Garlic to his bucket feed so whether thats kick started his immune system to fight this thing but it looks like it going on its own
