First.....THANK YOU DEBBIE! She was wonderful when I was all nerves when I got there.
I borrowed a trailer to haul Cowboy in from Becky. Cowboy was a bit scared when he got on. It was a smaller trailer than what he was hauled in. So when he stepped on it he felt the movement. Cowboy got on it willingly. We drove to the Boot and Bottle for the breed demo. Unloaded Cowboy and then TJ went and got the temp stall for us. While he was gone took Cowboy in the arena for him to relax. (this is when my confidence left and I was nerves. Thanks again Debbie. You helped me ALOT!) Cowboy had his head up and trotted about. When I started working with him he relaxed and listened to me. (And TJ was pushing me to put a chain on his nose....He didn't need one!) We were in the arena for 20 minutes while others were warming horses up. He did well. Nothing silly. Then took him over to the temp stall. He did fab! I had signs and flags on the temp stall. The wind blows here. He didn't care. He had his water and hay. What more could a pony want? They called the breed line up. We were behind alot of mini horses. He looked at them like what happened to them! But he did good. We had a mule and horse behind us. I was so proud. He didn't care what was around him!
This was my table.
Front view of temp stall.
Side view of temp stall.
Line up of breeds.
Cute bum!
Lots of minis.
In the arena.....
My fav pic.
Things that bothered me were a woman was leading two draft horses with halters and lead ropes. There was a kid on each horse. She had a lead rope in each hand and had a little one in her arms!
The newspaper photographer hid behind a barrel to take a picture of Spanish mustangs. She popped up after the horse went by. It scared the horse and the rider was bucked off. The rider wasn't hurt just sore. The photograher should have known better.
I have pictures. But can't put on until tonight.
