I have been using a Neue Schule lozenge hanging cheek for Olivia as thats what I had and its a nice bit but I have a but...I'm not sure she is overly keen. She doesn't play with it at all and carried her head low anyway so even any mild very poll pressure would be unhelpful (not that I think it really does anything)
I am confusing myself over bit action...I know the hanging cheek is suspended in her mouth so how would say a normal loose ring sit? I have one of those too but was thinking the hanging cheek helps with "youngsters" as it can't slip through her mouth!
The vet did her teeth for me (I know a vet!! But she was sedated anyway and I will get the dentist when Drum is due) and she has a wolf tooth, vet said don't fix what aint broke, but I don't know how this will effect her at all, I'm on alien gound here!
So your thoughts would be much appreciated ;D

I just use a bog standard French Link Full Cheek - the cheek bits help with steering and stop it slipping through her mouth, and she plays with the lozenge in the middle. I've used this bit on 2youngsters and one horse that needed retraining with good effects each time.

Thanks, thats really helpful, I have actually been investigating lozenge bits with full cheeks and have found a couple......but she has felt better the last couple of days so maybe I am worrying about nothing!
