Hi just a quick question about the carriages you are looking for?
what sort of four wheeler are you looking for? what do you want to do with it? pnuamatic (sorry not how you spell it i know!lol ) or steel wheels?
depending on the answer to the questions, my friends husband builds them and made my four wheel pleasure vehicle to fit my mare, and since i plan on driving my two as a pair by the end of next year made it so the shafts can be removed by bolts and replaced with a pole for multiples.
Sam has made carriages for the Royal Mews by appointment and has done a fab job on mine, made to specification although it was a few years ago it still looks as good as the day i got it and i use it for teaching, pleasure and have actually done my friends wedding with it using her 13.3hh Fjord mare a few years ago.
Would be more than happy to forward details, not sure if they are not still on website but are know as Highgate Carriages. Sam made mine and then his wife wanted one the same for teaching too which she is selling at the min!

Hi,
sorry i should read on more!! lol
The one i have is best described as a judge once put it in a pleasure vehicle class as a golf cart!! It has car tyres but carriage wheels can be put on, it has suspension and is very comfy over rough terrain (has to i have a lower back disc problem) can seat two on the box seat, and i have had four small people on the back or two adults, on some occassions have had three adults on of average weight. sal manages very well and the vehicle itself isnt heavy, i can manouvre it around on my own. On the back of the box seat the backrest there is a hand rail which means that your passenger can stand as if on a backstep if you want or could sit in comfort. I cant manage to post pics on here but if you have a mobile phone pm me your mobile number and i will take pics of mine tonight and send them to you. I know if Bev hasnt sold hers she is looking for about £1300 for it. She has used it for teaching with but only lightly which is why she is selling it, she has another smaller two wheeled which she uses too i think. I helped to design this one by what i required and Sam made more after, think they are called Highgate Trainer. As for storing them mine has previousley been under tarp and in a barn and only now is under a shelter at the current yard im at now until the owner builds the stable stalls he keeps promising!
Hope this helps.

Me too re winter driving! I'm planning ggetting back into it.
I looked at 4 wheelers but was steered away from them to begin with as they are easy to jack-knife and tip up with a novice horse and rider, so went for a cheapo exercise cart that fits perfectly with a few alterations. It also saved spending mega-bucks before I even knew if Harls and I would like driving!!
They are lovely pictures Helen - beautiful carriages and gorgeous horses too. I'd love to have been there!
