Wow Helen, they're great, thanks for posting them yes it's definitely inspired me, as did watching the coaching competition and the private driving at the Great Yorkshire Show. I may not aspire to such technicality or elegance, but will certainly be getting at least one pony back in harness before the Spring!

Thanks for posting those wonderful pictures!!! What a fabulous day you must have had....I can only begin to imagine the amount of work that must have been involved to get the carriges and horses looking so fantastic,!!

Oooh, these were wonderful pics Helen!!! I admit to being chicken, but its very tempting to bundle Blossom off to the Amish to learn the carriage driving. ;D I love that gold pegasus!!!!! Are you going to do your two rearing lads in gold above your gates?

Great pics Helen. I love Hungarian Greys. I was lucky enough to drive John Parkers team a few years ago and they were fabulous.

So that's Maggie, Heather and me all driving again over the winter Debbie - slight problem with the gold pegasus -(1) we don't have the gold and (2) we don't have any gates Well actually we do but it's a temporary thing mackled up out of softwood and wire fencing to keep the dog in. Have a lovely set of impressive cast-iron gates in the barn. Just waiting to eternity for hubby to build some pillars Lucy - sorry I missed you. You can add "invisibilty" to Amy's many talents! Did the judges mark you down for your turn-out? Why are you driving on the wrong side of the road instead of the beautiful 16km of wide grass avenues Norma - lucky you driving John Parker's Hungarians. That's way too much horse for me. The Hungarians and the Gelderlanders at the competition yesterday were all very feisty and raring for the off. Looked fantastic on the move though!

So you could hang it and it would drag down the current woodworks. Bummer! No point in bringing home the gold pegasus then ;D ...welllll, not just yet at any rate.

Its discrimination against the 13 handers I tell ya. I do hope you'll be able to find one that fits the bill. Surely something will come your way if you wait long enough.

No change there then, Helen!
What carriage were you looking at Heather? I am now on the look out for a 4-wheeler too and would hate to buy the wrong one?
What are the carriage buying criteria for a 13-something Dales mare??!

Probably best to start a new thread in driving Luce. This one's maybe a bit old to get noticed? I am also interested to know recommendations for 4-wheelers to suit a single and pair of Dales, eg. suggested wheel diameter, max weight, etc... Being used to a pair of Percherons that can pull a house, I don't want to overface my ponies. Suggestions for an easy bank to rob, or an accomplice also welcome
