Visit to Castle Hill Stud

We (me, Nikki, Tom and Ali) went over to Castle Hill to see the ponies and the new foals along with Jennie and Evelyn. We had a wonderful time and I was sorely tempted to try and squeeze a few foals into the boot of the car. Huge thanks to Claire and Karen for showing us around again.

We started off by saying hello to a few of the Dales mares on a diet in the barn and then watched Claire lunge and ride Castle Hill Duke. Duke is Harvey's half brother. He is a 4 yo stallion and is absolutely stunning. He has only just been backed so I was amazed at his calm, sensible attitude:
