Thank you so much. I have decided to go with Pergolide for the time being as have too many other things going on at the mo to do the proper research on which herbs and how much to give. Sadly I have a suspicious old bag without a Dales belly! I'll keep you posted if peeps are interested? Thanks for EVERYONE'S advice. DalesFans are tops!

What are you on?! I was cool up to the polos! You are turning into Linda (in the nicest possible way! I'd LOVE to be Linda!) Can I get this from Boots cheaper than vets? I have a friend that works at Boots, or do I need a prescription? What joy to have a pharmacist on the board!

I can't remember now but I think I pressed the tablets into a bit of apple.

Any other posts I replied to last night? I should NOT have logged on. Pergolide is prescription only but D was paying $5-50 for 60 tablets- Ive priced it up and from us it'd be around £20 for 100. Worth asking vets how much they charge and see if its cheaper to get a script (most charge around £10 per script). If you can get them to put a few months worth on it may be worth it. The tablets she currently gets aren't very big but her mare is horrendous at finding them and spitting them out!! My post should have been crush with polos, add a little water and put onto bread

never a dull moment on Dalesfans ;D I hope you can find a way of sneaking them into her. I remember the tablets Nancy was giving were tiny too, and I don't think they had a flavor to them? Mind you, its a nightmare when you have a suspicious one, but I'm hopeful if there's no flavor, she might not fuss about it?

Choc is on to about a month's pergolide now. Carrots and apples lasted about a week only! She now has a half scoop of 16+ mix with the tabs in two. Competition from Twinkle and esp. knob makes her eat them quickly! She's hairy but happy at the mo!

Very glad to her she is doing well. I used to give quest a full clip all year round when he got very "cushings hairy" - he looked daft but felt a lot better for it.

Michelle. Each case is different but it's not always a death sentence. Good luck with your pony x
