Not much, but a few more steps towards backing for real...
I had a friend staying while she was working up here so we did some work with Elle. We carried on with the saddle and bridle, and don't need to do sacking out any more before putting the saddle on and she doesn't move at all.
Then I stood on a chair while my pal held her and did leaninng over and patting her all over her other side, pulling and flapping the stirrups and though she tensed a bit to begin with she doesn't move away.
It was all going so well we progressed to leaning right over with one foot in the stirrup and no weight on the chair - again, she didn't move! I shuffled so I was right over her, equal weight on both sides and she was soo good, never moved at all.
We left it at that, hoping to do more next week when my pal is back.
So pleased with her!!!! Not a hump of the back, no tensing, no spinning ears. What a good girlie!!!
