I have just a had a quick look onthe net and wonder if it was this What is Diflucan?

Diflucan is used to treat infections caused by fungus, which can invade any part of the body including the mouth, throat, esophagus, lungs, bladder, genital area, and the blood.
Diflucan is also used to prevent fungal infection in people with weak immune systems caused by cancer treatment, bone marrow transplant, or diseases such as AIDS.

Just caugt up with this thread. I'm so glad she is improving again, Leann. Fingers crossed the powder clears things up permanently.
Neem oil does a fab job with fungal infections. It just stinks!

Great news! Only just caught up.. sorry! As far as I know diflucan is only oral- fluconazole mainly used for thrush which is fungal. I'm thinking along the lines of daktarin powder which is miconazole- another antifungal.

Sounds like a change of medication is doing the trick. Perhaps the powder sticks better to the wall of the gutteral pouch.
