Today I have been shown an article in an issue Horse and Hound that tells of the benefits of Aloe Vera given to horses to help boost their immune systems.. Does anyone on here know of Aloe Vera given to horses and if it is in liquid or powder or leaf form?? [The article didn't specify which]

Years ago I tried the gel (forever living I think) for Quest but unfortunately he didn't like the taste, even the sweetened version for horses so I drank it myself! Many people swear by it for their horses for boosting immune systems and gut problems. It is probably worth trying for Connie as it can't hurt.

I use it when I've a horse who has been unwell or been on antibiotics. They get a small cupful each day- a small plastic cup comes with the one I get from the health shop. It's good on their guts.

My OH had some on Saturday as he has been ill for about 10 days with bad stomach - it cleared up (and out) and he says he feels great! People at the stables use it and seems to work really well.

Connie is taking the juice well in her feed and seems to be doing fine on it....Will stay with it for a while longer anyhow.

Just thought you would like to know that Connie is just about through her second bottle of Aloe vera and I am pleased with her condition now. I gave her a good grooming yesterday and even taking her thicker winter coat into consideration I can see she is pretty much back to her usual weight now. Not sure I will buy a third bottle unless this cold weather is set to continue for another month or so. Anyway I would recommend it as a tonic etc if anyone is thinking of using it.

Pearl and Colt have forever freedom for their joints - excellent but watch out for the calorie content! I take a swig now and again but to be honest I thought it was disgusting.....
