Looks really comfy. From the picture there seems to be only one strap over the poll - is that correct. That seems like a really good idea to me. Was it expensive?

Very nice - especially for sensitive horses like Remy.

Saturn has got D's old bridle which doesn't fit him very well. I am saving up for one of these for him as I think they sound fab. Will be very interested in how you get on with it Gill.

Yes there is one wide padded strap over the poll which is very soft. The cavesson noseband slots through the end of the cheekpieces so no need for another strap over the head. I'm afraid it was rather expensive, but on a par with most top quality bridles - it was £165.

But when you think how much we spend on saddles, why shouldn't we spend on a really good bridle that is comfortable for the pony/horse? I'd rather save up and buy good quality that is going to last.

That does look comfy, I've always disliked the double straps over the poll.
I don't think that £165 is too expensive, esp if your horse is going to be comfortable

Do you think they will bring out a plainer version for natives Gill- one that would be suitable for showing?

If I was going to buy a new bridle I'd save up too - price compares favourably with other good quality makes.

I haven't heard anything about different designs yet Jacqui - a major difference with this bridle is the padded headpiece and cavesson so not sure whether a plain one would work if you know what I mean? I'll ask Heather anyway

I have to say that I don't like it, It looks like an in hand bridle. Also there is no cut away and it would still irritate behind the ears of my stroppy pony!. Each to their own, I actually like the brass buckles! ;D They also come in silver. It is quite close to Remy's ears as the browband could do with being bigger, hopefully once I can get a larger one it will sit better. The German bridle looks like a good alternative, but Heather's design reduces the number of straps on the head.

I see what Julie means about the behind the ears. I guess we just choose to buy the best kit for our individual - and our horses' individual - needs.

For the ultimate in minimalism ;D Couldn't resist It does look nice, but I'm another who agrees the browband's a touch small. You have to start somewhere, though as I don't think any of the sizes are standard in the horse industry. To each their own.
