last year i bought myself a pair of sealskinz golves but never wore them because I found them too thick to ride in. Today I tried them out for poo picking, breaking water troughs etc and despite dunking my hands in icy water and getting covered in snow the gloves remained dry on the inside and my hands toasty warm. These gloves are brilliant for this weather.

I have a pair too - they are a bit tight on my fingers and my hands do still feel cold, but they stay dry and that helps them to warm up quickly and also saves my skin a bit!

I have just bought a fluorescent yellow pair of sealskinz and they are great - they have 3 layers - the middle layer is merino wool. I would really recommend them for keeping your hands warm. I havent tested them in the rain yet but looking at the weather forecast I will do very soon.

Mine went through the mill last winter with all the snow and ice, but with a bit of help from Elastoplast they have survived and should do another winter - definitely worth the money.
