LOL Row - glad you got what you wanted from the old fella!
Zelda, I can't get on with them either - much prefer a bucket and a heavy-duty rubber glove

LOL Gill, I've also been using them for years and blame my thumb, wrist and shoulder problems on them but haven't found anything better.

Gill and Pam - from the times I've done poo-picking with Gill using these things I'm certain that the way you use them is the root cause of your problems. They're heavy when they're full and the lifting and twisting movement you do to empty them in to the barrow definitely puts strain on your thumbs, wrist, shoulder and back. The temptation is to fill them to the top before emptying them to avoid lots of trips to the barrow.
Can you tell I've recently done a manual handling course at work? LOL
Get together and get a deal on those poo-pickers Linda's interested in. At our age we deserve all the help we can get!

ROFL - no need to do that Row, it's a really useful gadget. Just don't put too much stress on any one part of your body as you empty it, and don't cram it full before you lift it.

I used to use mine to poo pick in the uk, don't fill too high and get a small horse-loving child to follow you round the firled with the barrow! Can't see it being very efficient in a straw bedded stable though.
