...which is obviously HIGHLY unusual for her - which is why I'm a bit worried.
I've recently switched her from D&H ultimate balancer and (in the very cold weather) mollassed sugar beet to just Allan and Page fast fibre and nothing else.
First few weeks she ate it fine, but yesterday Nick told me that she had stopped eating it - even if he left it in the stable for an hour with her. He had started to put a bit of mollassed beet in at which point Tilly wolfed it down.
Being the cruel wicked mum I am I've told Nick (YO) to not add anything and just leave her with the feed. It's not like she's fading away and I'm sure if she realises she's not getting anything else she'll get back to eating it.
But since saying that I've been worrying that it is SO unusual for Tilly (this is the horse who will lick wormer off a syringe) that maybe I should either swap off the fast fibre, or let Nick put something in there to tempt her.
What do you all think?

If she's not losing condition I wouldn't worry- think the grass is starting to come through, Becky's decided she wont her feed (though that may be due to her choking), candy has been switched, smartie is picking... so she's not alone I just leave Becky's in overnight- if she wants it she'll eat it

I'd wait a bit as long as she is not off in any other way,Prince and Daisy are not stuffing their hay down as usual but going off to graze after a little while

Mine have become less interested in food this week too. I'm sure it's to do with the sweet grass starting to come through. I wouldn't worry....

Its a tough one, isn't it? Blossom's the same way. In fact, I sent back a supplement to get my money back after she refused to touch her buckets with the supplement. If Tilly 'wolfs it down' after a tiny bit of molasses beetpulp has been added, my bet is she's waiting til she can get out to grazing. The new grass as its coming through will taste sweet. My own two have been leaving their hay and are attempting to graze anything remotely green just now. Blossom's even attempted eating moss. ....edited to say just last night Blossom walked off her evening bucket to go nibble at something green in her field. Given that everything is abruptly greening up, it doesn't surprise me.

If its any consolation my friends horse wont eat it either. I think maybe it just tastes horrid.
