Silly I know! I've decided to try and get Becky in foal- she's now 17 and I'd love a future horse from her She had a foal a couple of years ago so isn't a maiden. Liz has decided to stand Zan at stud this year, AI only. He's just come back from dummy training and having some semen frozen. Becky has just being swabbed and all being well will go to stud,in Darwen Lancashire to be AIed. It'll give me time to do more with Rory too And for those who cant decide on names- the mothership has already named potential foaly She's worse than me!! I just hope and pray it all works out as I know breeding isn't risk free or guaranteed. Zan's KWPN so I'm aiming for a sports horse- slightly different to my daleses!

I'm biased- I've known him since he arrived as a newly backed 3 year old from holland. He's 6 now and has a super temperment. day 1 back from stud, Im holding his leadrope (on headcollar) loosely in 1 hand, brushing him frantically, YM balanced on a bucket plaiting frantically and M generally running round tidying him. I have no worries about leading him to his field in a headcollar and to me, that is soo important as I want the best chance of a nice temperment. Parents think Im truely crackers.... hey ho. I love dales ponies but do like a bigger sports horse too so whilst Ive got an opportunity Im going for it!

I'm gonna be dense... what do all the initials stand for Em? In other words, what 'breed' is he Whatever he is, he's stonkin' gorgeous You must post his new pics when they're ready!! I can't wait to see the year's difference in development.

Sorry- YM is yard manager and other initials are instead of names Dont ask me what KWPN stands for- but basically he's a dutch warmblood. His father was padinus, who was by heartbreaker (a well known jumper) I'm dying to see the new pics- I arent very patient!

It was the KWPN I hadn't come across before. Probably a string of dutch words that wouldn't make sense to me if I'd heard them anyways
