Found our goose, Willy (female) dead this morning. She was a bit quiet yesterday. I feel sorry for her partner - Honk (female) who just keeps swimming over to where she died on the edge of the pond. Swim free Willy.

That's so sad...do Geese pair up for life as Swans do ?

I don't know Leann, I'll have to ask Helen (cadeby). They certainly were very close and always together. Honk hasn't moved more than about 10 yards away from where she was. I hope she will be ok.

Sorry to hear that Willy has died Lynda. I will miss her honking when I visit you Geese are supposed to mate for life, but our gander Brian has ditched his wife in favour of his young, nubile daughter, so maybe not always We have goslings due to hatch in 18 days, so if Honk is still lonely, you are welcome to one of those. Run free Willy
