Wondered if anyone had used this site to look at fairly detailed pedigrees of most breeds of horses (except for some strange reason the Dales has been grouped up as "Dale/Exmoor" ) No need to register, I just added the full name of my lad (Needlehouse Robin) in the search field (top left of page) and when he wasn't found I began adding his history from his passport and a whole new world relating to his parentage opened up. Some of the back histories of the sires and dams have photos linked too ... worth a look and apologies if this is old news!! Link below www.allbreedpedigree.com

Like you, I use allbreeds to look at the early pedigrees and the old photos are fascinating However, the site is full of errors so you cannot trust all of the information it contains. I have the Stud Books so used these to correct the errors for my own ponies - there were several ned online is safer (in my opinion) as the pedigree information was submitted by the DPS, rather than individuals, but it's not as interesting as allbreeds. Off to look up your boy now
