DPS Area 2 - Ride and Drive

In conjuction with the Fell Pony Society Area 1 (NE) we have organised a ride/drive in Hamsterley Forest on the 1st Sunday (the 3rd) in October 2010 as promised in early newsletters of this year.

This is Hamsterely Forest

10 mile ride (possible longer drive?). £3 only parking per vehicle for the first 25. Bring a picnic for afterwards. Starts at 10am.

Open to DPS members, and non-members with their own public liability insurance there will be a route for both drivers and riders

Also Christmas Dinner again at the Countryman, Bolam on Sunday 12th December at 1pm. Normal 3/4 course lunch with all the festivites and a raffle in aid the DPS again. Further details and menu choices nearer the time.

We have another showing clinic organised, date to be finalised with Tracey Milward but hopefully August time and Richard Telford will be back in the Spring. His July clinic Amanda is organising is full I believe so lots to look forward too.

that would be good, so we have some ideas of numbers. We will give you a map of how to get there nearer the time.

we are getting a good few people coming to the hamsterley forest event ,including some drivers.please let us know if you intend coming along as well so we can sort out numbers.should be a good, social day.

I am very tempted - could bring a couple for the driving ....just that we will be feeding livestock at that time of year, and it goes dark early too.

just to remind anyone who is coming to let us know please we have driven the driving route today [in the car lol] and Anna is going to ride the 10 mile route thursday as she is leading that. Eileen is leading the 7 mile route. we have about 30 riders but only a few drivers so if anyone else is interested please contact me or Anna.
