Shy threw a splint hooning with the shettie, and after trying everything the vet suggested, and failing miserably, I tried these. After seven hours of treatment, the splint has gone right down I hope that helps. I use Equimagnets, (£12.99 of ebay) sm x

very sceptical at first, but they're working a treat ! I've been using one on my recently sprained ankle, so they're definitely worth the money

Did it sort your ankle out too? That's interesting....how long did you wear it for? I'm wondering if I opened one out flat and strapped it against my sore hip if it would do any good........

I sprained my ankle on wednesday last week, and it swelled up like a tennis ball. I wrapped it with the band the next morning, and the swelling went down slightly from the first session (2 hours), and the bruising started to come out. Kept doing it every day for a few hours - now the bruising has almost gone, and the pain has really gone down too. I could walk on it from friday, and drive saturday. I think it'd be worth a try. Funny really, both me and Shy keeping the things warm sm x

Thank you. I've ordered a fetlock wrap for Bea's arthritic fetlock/windgalls. He had an episode of arthritis in that joint 3 years ago and has been sound since. He does occasionally get a bit of heat and swelling tho - so I'll treat it with magnets and see what happens.
And when he's not using it - I will.
Zelda - I don't it wouldn't do any harm for your wrist if you can get it strapped on. Maybe when you've had your pot removed (once you get one on!) it'll help with the healing of the soft tissue. That's the thing that took the longest time to heal when I broke my hip - the soft tissue trauma.

No problem, I hope they work for your pony too. Re the fractured wrist, it may be worth while using a magnet above the pot, as they increase circulation, and it may help the blood flow down to the wrist ? Then use it on the wrist once it comes off. sm x
