Millie (Akehurst Heather's Rose) has returned home after spending 5 days at Bell equine to try and determine what is wrong with her, she was very pleased to see the lorry, we was very pleased to finally pick her up, after many bone scans and nerve blocks it is finally decided that she HAS the same problem her half sister had which is damage to her sacroiliac joint in her back, only time will tell weather this mare will ever work again, am now on the look out for a nice TB stallion to put her to

I think she is still fairly local to Sussex/Kent area - you may have to 'google' her. Mind yyou there are some cracking stallions about too........

Please don't "get rid" of this mare unless she's 100% sound and is fit for the purpose any new owner wants her for. It would be so much kinder to PTS if there's no chance of her coming sound than pass her on IMHO. It's a hard decision to make - but can be the kindest thing

you must of miss understood, im not just gunna palm millie off to the nearest person just to get rid of her, i want to find millie a home where she can be happy as a brood mare or a companion, shes not buted up to her eye balls, still goes out in the field and is very happy to have a good roll, charge and a buck so she is perfectly happy, so until the day shes in pain i am not going to just have her put down, shes the most honest and kind mare and this is the reason we have gone through all this with her for the past 9 months, most would of left her at the vets the first time

i think it was probably your phrasing that has led to a misunderstanding.I,m pleased your mare is happy and i ,m sure you,ll do you rbest for her.not everyone takes the responsibilities of ownership seriously which leads to some horses having a very tough time.i hope she continues to be well.
