Is there such a thing, or should I just leave her on grass?
Those who know Stumps and I will know of our yo-yo dieting for the past year or so. I've finally got to the stage where Stumps will be approaching an 'ideal' weight. She used to be a whopping 510kg, dropped down to 413kg dangerously quickly, and is now back up to 430. She still needs so more fat on her hips but everything else is lookign well.
She is currently fed 2 scoops of hi-fi and 1 scoop of Baileys Conditioning cubes but they run out tomorrow...and I was wondering what I should put her on next?
I was after some sort of maintence feed, to help maintain her healthy weight now - but give her the calories she'll need for the long summer trekking I have planned etc..

Harley gets 1.25 pounds pasture mix, 1/3 mug of soya oil and a bit of honeychop, plus garlic. He has a Yellow Rockie mineral block in the field so he can help himself to minerals.
He does pleasure rides and 20 milers on this, at speeds of up to 7 mph. Any higher mileage than that, and I put him on Staypower Muesli for a bit more protein etc.

happy hoof happy hoof happy hoof.
And if I'm feeling generous some anti lam feed balancer
Happy hoof is great - very paliatable (sp???), added vits and mins, low calorie - great stuff.
Good luck

My gang do roughly two hours hacking out 5 times a week, but I do not feed anything other than happy hoof - and they don't get a lot of that during the summer.
Even with all that riding, Tilly and Oliver are not slimline, more the other way. They seem able to cope with the distances we ride, bearing in mind its hard going, with plenty of hills.
When doing a lot of driving events (shows, and club drives, which can be 15 miles plus at a fast trot) I do use Power mix, which gives that bit of umph.
If your horse can manage on grass - and a lot do - then I would manage on that.

I went to the tack shop, she's just on Dengie Hi-fi. She said if Stumps drops, to put her on A&P Ride and Relax, but she shouldn't need that
