Well having to clip the feathers off as i was trying to thin them the other day and found some signs of mud fever on backs of knees and felt a bit in back legs too. So my friend attempted to clip them off yesterday but after we got fronts off he would not have backs off atall. So got some off and left him. Now going to try again this afternoon with some sedative paste in him.
I do not want him with no feathers but i feel there was no choice to get on top of them and try again.
Been pig oiling them loads and washed them out first but the mud is so bad here is is redicoulous.
Help on how to keep them next time would be helpfull. Am so trying.
I hate myself for not knowing sooner.

mm what a shame, Scout had mud fever a few years back and all his feather came off, he doesn't like me clipping his "only" black leg ! aren't they funny X
